Wirtshaus Steffen in Kagar

Very nice staff and very accommodating. Came from the night shift and the room was pleasantly tempered and freshly made. I felt very comfortable, despite Corona the atmosphere was very pleasant, although everything was very sterile. I'm looking forward to another visit.

Were guests in the restaurant in the evening and the evening was really nice. Very nice staff, unobtrusively accommodating. The dishes were really good, absolutely great. The cook knows his / her craft perfectly. Even after eating, which unfortunately is often not the case, you are served very nicely. The ambience is cozy and very clean. Thank you and please keep it up!

Simple and rustic restaurant. The prices are a bit above what I would have expected, but not excessive. The quality of the food was good. The service was friendly aloof.

A little inconspicuous from the outside, but behind the house an inviting and quiet terrace. The service was very friendly and the food was good (the menu might have had a little more choice). Parking for the motorbikes was also available

From August 1st to August 8th, 2020 we stayed in a holiday apartment in the Pension Steffen. The apartment was comfortably furnished. Special thanks to Mr. Steffen and his team. Everyone was very helpful. If something was needed, we were helped immediately. We'll definitely be back.

Food perfect ... ambience inside and back great, you can't see it from the front

Kagar is a wonderful place, we were already with Mr. Steffen for the second time. Our first visit 5 years ago convinced us completely, Mr. Steffen seemed very personable at the time. This year we stayed in one of the new apartments. Nice in itself to feel comfortable there for a few days. Food is delicious too! Unfortunately, the 'seasonal stress' of the home side became clear and we were treated impossibly by Mr. Steffen. That spoiled our vacation a bit. If something bothers Mr. Steffen, he doesn't look for a factual conversation, he seems choleric. We were his guests and we were yelled at by him, we were forbidden to speak to justify ourselves. And that doesn't work at all! That's not how you treat your guests!

If you want peace and quiet this place is great for that.

Very good food and the rooms are great ??

Quiet place, beautiful lakes in the area well suited for paddling. Kayak can even be borrowed from the pension. Dinner was delicious.

We were with a larger group in the tavern Steffen. The landlord is in a class of his own. Does not he do not know. The rooms were absolutely ok for us. Food was very good and plentiful.

I really liked the schnitzel and the noodles??. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied

Quaint inn that seems rather average of the road. Great summer garden. Very good food. The landlord looks at first glance a little "knotty", but I think that's part of the charm of this house. We did not have a room - but have observed that you are very lovingly taken care of the overnight guests. You can rent bicycles and boats. Regular live music. We have booked this inn for another visit.

We were with the family a while ago in the tavern and have spent a very nice time: delicious food (incredible schnitzel with fresh asparagus and potatoes), small bike ride to the lake (modern bicycles, the one safe everywhere) and peace to relax ( cozy atmosphere in the backyard) invite you to come back! :)

TOP recommendation Delicious food, great rooms, very friendly service and warm hosts. The village is great for cycling and there is a swimming lake with a playground and a beach volleyball field. There is a sufficient number of parking spaces in front of the house. We spent a wonderful spring weekend here and are planning our next stay in summer. ;-)

Thank you for the great restaurant in bright sunshine on your terrace, the tips for our ride on the bike, the charging our cell phones, but above all the very delicious food. Convincingly warm hosts, in a simple, very neat atmosphere!
